Borrowing
Unless marked as Reference, all books in our library are available for MGS members to borrow. You can borrow up to 4 books/periodicals at a time for 3 weeks. Some CD's are available to borrow for 1 week. Renewals are usually allowed as long as no other member has requested to borrow a book. We would like members to consider making a donation for any late returns as we do not have the capabilities for monitoring a late fee structure as in other public libraries.
For members living outside of Winnipeg - we have a special borrowing mailing system in place - please contact the library for details.

Many members of MGS have spent countless hours volunteering in transcribing & indexing monumental inscriptions for over 1200 cemeteries within Manitoba. Copies of most cemetery transcriptions may be purchased through MGS. For details on how to locate and order a particular transcript, click here.
